Dropping BHAF

I have decided I am going drop Blue Hair and Freckles. I have writers block and I’ve had it for quite a few weeks now. It doesn’t help that I have exams coming up (only two weeks left of school!). I have been, and still am, studying and working hard.
All of the posts will be deleted BUT I have saved them on my computer so, if I ever want to start on it again, I will have all that I have previously written.
I hope you, my dear readers, understand.
On a better note, I will be posting more now, well, not now, in two weeks.

Chapter 28

“Are you still angry?” Asked Draco as he slipped into the seat next to Harry.
“No.”
“Why do you have Penwidge?”
“Didn’t have time to put her in my room.”
Our room.”
“Yeah.”
“You are still mad.”
“I’m not mad!”
Draco sighed and turned to speak with Professor Quipett in hushed voices. Harry ate in silence. He knew Draco and Quipett were talking about him but he didn’t care. He wasn’t a Veela.  and as soon as he finished, he walked back to his room. When he got there, he realized he had nothing to do so he turned around and headed to the Headmistresses office. When he got to the gargoyle, he said, “Sherbet Lemon.” McGonagall had used that password in memory of Dumbledore. He walked into the room and looked around. Quite a few of Dumbledore’s interesting objects were missing. He dragged a chair over to his old Headmaster’s portrait and sat down.
“Hello Professor.”
“Hello my dear boy.”
“How are you considering…You know, you’re in a painting and all.” Dumbledore chuckled before answering.
“I’m very well my boy. And how are you? I heard there have been some small complications since you started work here.”
“Well, first I was kidnapped, then just a week ago, not even that, some prat gave me a love potion, and now Professors McGonagall, Quipett and Draco think I’m a Veela.”
“Ah, a Veela. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were, Harry.”
“What? You too?”
“My boy, you must admit, you have extraordinary powers! You could probably do magic without a wand.”
“Professor, correct me if I’m wrong, but if you can’t do that, surely I can’t. You were far more powerful than me. And anyway, I’m not ‘extraordinary’ as you say, I just had a lot of luck and people to help me; including you.”
“Harry, I want you to keep an open mind about this. If you do end up being a Veela, you will need training and your emotions will be all over the place as soon as you get your wings, even before. You will probably develop powers you didn’t have before.”
“Like talking to Draco with my mind?” Dumbledore looked startled for a moment but quickly took back his calm composure.
“Yes, like talking to Draco with your mind.”
Harry sighed deeply.
“That’s it-” He said more to himself than to Dumbledore. “-I can’t be a prat if I do turn out to be a Veela. I’m grown up now. I’m an adult and I’m going to be mature.”
“That’s the spirit. But Harry, remember, you are only eighteen, you don’t have to be mature all of the time.”
“Thank you Professor.”
Dumbledore winked to Harry as he walked out of the room.

“Hello everybody!” Harry beamed at his students that Monday morning. “Today, we are going to be studying the Fire-Making Charm. Now you might not be able to cast it on the first go, like many other spells. I am going to demonstrate, and then, you will try on candles. Could you please pass these around, Penelope? Thank you. Now, how to cast the spell: I want you to all close your eyes and say the incantation ‘Incendio’ without your wands please so we don’t have any accidents. One the count of three; one, two, three. Incendio. Very good now, when you cast this spell, in your mind, I want you to imagine you candle lit. I want you to imagine the fire going from your hand, through your wand and onto the candle’s wick. Can you do that? You can try with your wands now.”
Harry walked around the classroom, pointing out things that could be done better, giving encouragements. He went back to his desk and watched Cassandra for afar. She had her eyes closed and was mouthing the incantation before doing the spell. After a minute of that, still with her eyes closed, she said the spell and a flame shot out from her wand and she lit the candle.
“Well done Cassandra! First go as well! Five points to Slytherin.”
The girl blushed and hid behind her hair. Harry noticed the Gryffindors all glared at her. They were already developing hate for the Slytherins. Apparently Cassandra Noticed too because she slid down her chair and didn’t day a word for the rest of the lesson except for the incantation.
At the end of the lesson, Harry called back the young Slytherin.
“You did very well today Cassandra. You were the first one to perform the spell!”
The girl didn’t say anything, she just looked at the floor.
“I don’t want you to take any notice of the Gryffindors, okay? They are silly and jealous that somebody other than them casted the spell first. Just ignore them.” The girl nodded. “Go on, off you go then.”

At dinner that night, Harry decided he was going to talk to McGonagall about what happened.
“Professor, I think we should do something about the Gryffindors and Slytherins.”
“Why is that, Potter?”
“Today, Cassandra, Bill’s daughter, got made fun of because she cast the Fire-Making Charm first in my lesson.”
“And what do you suggest?” Harry thought for a moment before answering.
“Maybe, when they are together in lessons, we should make them team up. They could get to know each other that way and they could  become friends!”
“If we had done that with you and Mr Malfoy, would you have become friends with him?”
“Probably not…”
“We can’t do anything about it, I’m afraid. That is just the way they are.”
Harry didn’t say anything for a moment, then he got an idea. He got up and hurried to the Gryffindor table.
“Quidditch pitch, this evening, midnight, the whole house.  Don’t tell any of the teachers. Pass the word around.” He whispered to the first student he got to.
He said that to all four houses and sat back down, satisfied.
“Mr Potter, what did you do?”
“Nothing, Headmistress.” He said in an innocent voice.

“A Girl In The Shadows”

Chapter 1

“I know I saw him and that he saw me. But he doesn’t know me.”
It was all I could think of was Jake. My name is Lilian Anderson and this is my story. He was the captain of the varsity Basketball team and he was popular, there was another thing, he had a girlfriend but I still had a crush on him and there was no way I would let that stop me. I was on my way home today when he pulled up and asked if I needed a ride I said no thank you because I was only two blocks from my house and it was a great day for a walk. He said he lived on my block but I doubted that because he was never at his house after school but my conscience took over again I finally said sure so he took…

Chapter 7

Harry got up shortly after the disagreement even though he was still extreamly weak. He was still tired but at least the dizziness had gone. He knew his friends were just worried about him but he was fine. Really. He went down the stairs and heard his friends whispering, as soon as he entered the room it stopped. Harry had a sudden rush of anger. He grabbed a slice of buttered toast and stalked towords the door.
“I’m going for a walk.” He said as he slammed the door. Draco was up before anyone else.
“I’m on it.” He looked around the room at the three people standing in front of him but looked at Hermione the longest. They had a kind of understanding now. They were bound by their worry for The Boy Who Lived. The blond walked out of the door and saw Harry walking down the street. He was throwing bread crumbs around for the birds. He should have know he wouldn’t eat it. The raven haired boy was going to the small park about ten minutes away. Draco quietly followed him. He didn’t want Harry to see him because he would think the blond didn’t trust him.
About half way there, Harry leaned himself against a wall. He was looking awfully pale and Draco was ready to rush to him but the boy was off again although he was walking slower now. The two boys finally got to the park and Harry sat down on an empty bench while Draco crouched behind a big oak tree. The Golden Boy leaned his elbows on his knees and then fell foward. The blond rushed towards the boy who was now laying limply on the ground, unconsious. He got his brand new phone out that Harry tought him how to use and dialed the ambulance’s number.
“Hello, what is you’re problem?” a womans voice asked at the other end of the phone.
“I’m at the small park in Godrics Hollow, my…friend just collapsed!”
“Someone is on the way. Now, gently roll your friend to the side in case he vomits. Do you have any idea why he would collapse?” The woman asked calmly.
“He hasn’t been eating or sleeping…”
“Why is that?”
“He’s been through tough times. He’s depressed but he refuses to get any help.” answered Draco in a rush. He didn’t want to say to much to respect the boys privacy but he was going to have to give minor details.
“Very well. An ambulance is on the way. I’ll just ask you to stay on the line and tell me if anything changes.”
“Ok…ok.”
A few minutes later, the blond heard sirens. An ambulance came rushing around the corner.
“The ambulance is here now. Thankyou.” He hung up without waiting for an answer.

He got up in the back of the ambulance behind Harry and explained exacly what happened to the doctors inside all while gripping the unconcious boys hand. The doctor smiled slightly at the scene.
“He’s going to be fine.” She said sweetly and glently layed her hand on the boys shoulder.
“He better be or i’ll sue you.” He glared at the woman and silently thanked muggle TV for cop shows and Judge Judy.

Half an hour later, multiple doctors had checked on Harry and the Weasleys and Hermione had joined Draco around his bed. The blond had recounted what had happend about ten times when he woke up. Ginny and Hermione ran to get a nurse while Draco and the others stood up and asked Harry if he was okay.
“What happened?” The boy asked.
“You bloody idiot! I’ve been telling you you need help but noooo Mr Harry Potter is too good for help! Look where that’s got you now Harry! In hospital with me thinking you were going to die because of your stupidity! I swear if this happens again i am going to-” Draco was cut off by Hermione.
“Draco! Calm down, Harry doesn’t even know what happened yet.”
Ron glared at the blond. “Well, maybe if you were paying more attention to him he would be fine!”
“Weasley, shut it.”
“No. What i’m saying is true you git!”
“WHO’S BEEN LIVING WITH HIM? WHO’S BEEN SITTING BY HIS SIDE DAY AND NIGHT TO MAKE SURE HE WAS FINE? WHO HASN’T BEEN SLEEPING BECAUSE HE WAS WORRIED SICK ABOUT HIM? DEFINETLY NOT YOU!”
“AND WHY ARE YOU SO WORRIED ABOUT HIM NOW? AFTER ALL YOUR YEARS OF HATING HIM? BECAUSE DADDY HATES YOU? BECAUSE YOU’RE A DEATHEATER AND NOBODY LIKES YOU? EVEN YOU’RE LTTLE SLYTHERIN CRONIES HATE YOU! I’M HIS BEST FRIEND SO STOP TRYING TO STEAL HIM FROM ME.” Ron and Draco both had their wands out now ready to fire a curse at the other. Harry rushed out of his hospital bed and stood between the blond and a fuming Ron. He tried to force the red heads wrist down but got punched in the stomach. Draco fired a spell at Ron’s shoulder but it missed and rushed to Harry’s side. He was kneeling on the floor, his hands gripping his stomach, shock on his face. Ron looked equally as shocked.
“Mate-”
“Don’t ‘mate’ him. You’re no friend of his. Get out before i perform an unforgivable on you.”
Ron just stood there, staring at the two boys.
“GET OUT!” Draco screamed.
The ginger ran out of the room and Draco helped Harry back into bed.
“He’s going to regret this.” The blond muttered.
Harry didn’t say anything. He just took Draco’s hand in thanks.

Chapter 7

Draco and Hermione only got up to get something to eat or drink or to go to the bathroom. Ron and Ginny came in a couple of times but didn’t have the patience to sit there for too long.
When Harry finally woke up, Hermione and Draco jumped to his side. The boy blinked up at them, confused. He had so many questions. What happened? Why were his friends looking down at him, hopeful and worriedly at the same time?
“How long have i been here?” he asked.
His friends looked at eachother guiltily.
“Twenty-four hours.” Draco finally replied.
Harry shot up but quickly lay down again when spots of color appeared infront of his eyes.
“What? A whole day?! What did you do?” he looked at his friends suspiciously as his friends shared an other guilty glance.
“Harry, i know you didn’t want to but we had to! What do you expect us to do? Just watch you waste away into nothing?”
“What did you do Hermione?”
The girl sighed and looked at Draco who jut shrugged. Of course. He had his little crush (although Hermione wasn’t even sure if it was a crush; maybe Draco became attached to Harry as a friend) so he wouldn’t want to tell Harry what they did.
“We gave you a sleeping and dreamless sleep potion.”
“I have already said i don’t want to survive on potions!”
“Well you’re lucky we didn’t go on with the original plan.”
“And what was that?”
“We were going to put a feeding tube in you.”
“YOU WHAT?”
“We didn’t though.”
“Now you listen here, Potter.” Draco silenced Harry before he could talk again. ” You are weak and sick so stop being an annoying git and let us help you, you idiot!”
Harry glared at the boy then turned his back on him.
“You’re such a stuborn git, Potter.” said Draco as he stormed out of the room.
“He’s just worried about you, Harry.” said Hermione quietly.

Chapter 3

By the time Draco finished in the guest bedrooms on-suit bathroom, Harry was up and ready, twiddeling his wand in his hands. He somehow looked worse, his body thinner and paler.
“You look like a pile of shit.” Draco said bluntly.
“Thanks…I didn’t get much sleep…”
“Really? You were snoring like your life depended on it when i left you.” Draco smirked. Harry looked sadly at the floor.
“I…don’t sleep much these days…” He smiled sadly. “Anyway,” he said, his voice unusually a fake smile plastered on his face, “Want to go to the pub?”
“You are not going to the pub! How about we go to muggle London and have a walk in the park?” The blond asked softly. He knew how the boy felt; lost, numb, depressed. A walk in the park always helped him during rough times. Draco decided then and there that he would do whatever it took to make Harry happy again. He of all people, had been through enough pain. He didn’t hate Harry anymore, he could even say he was close to liking him.
“OK…” The raven haired boy answered, startling Draco out of his thoughts.

They apparated infront of The Leaky Cauldron and Harry looked longingly inside the small window where Weasley and Granger sat.
“No.” Draco steered Harry away. “Right, you must know muggle London, where is there a park?”
“There are parks everywhere, just start walking and we’ll soon find one.” Harry said grabbing a quick glance at the pub behind them.
That’s what they did. They started walking in silence and arrived at a park in a matter of minutes, they walked around the small lake, then got a coffee to go and sat under a tree to stop the sun from blinding them. It was a hot summer’s day and Draco regretted wearing a shirt, that clung to his sweaty chest, and black skinny jeans, Harry on the other hand wore a simple white t-shirt with light blue skinny jeans and white sneakers. They small-talked happily for a few minutes but Draco saw the sadness in the other boys emerald green eyes.
“Do you…want to talk about it?” He asked hesitantly.
“Talk about what?” Harry asked, looking out across the lake.
“Everything; the war, lost friends and family… Your depression.”
Harry winced but didn’t say anything for a long while. When he finally talked, he looked deep into Draco’s eyes. “I didn’t think you had noticed, none of my friends have.”
“I could tell from a mile away. That’s actually why i came to see you at the pub.”
Without warning, Harry collapsed into tears. He burried his head in his hands in shame and embarassment.
“I don’t know what to do! I just want everything to end but…I don’t have the guts, i didn’t survive all that pain to just hurt for the rest of my life. I keep seeing their faces. In my sleep, in my drink, everywhere. I have nightmares every night, always the same one: Voldemort telling me either i die or all of my friends die and i choose to live… He makes me watch them being tortured and then murdered, one by one. Even you were in there last night…”
Draco listened and watched him talk for a good five minutes. When Harry was done, still sobbing in his hands, Draco hesitantly wrapped an arm around the crying boys shoulders, when he didn’t flinch away, he wrapped his other arm around him and pulled him into a tight hug.
“Thank you for listening”Harry hiccuped after a long pause.
Draco didn’t answer, just squeezed the boy.
Harry fell asleep in his new friends arms.
Draco looked admiringly at the sleeping boy, he was a good looking boy even though he had red, puffy eyes and dark circles under them. The blond contently sat there, happy that he had found a friend, even if his new found friend was his worst ennemi in school, when a ginger boy came thundering up to them, a small brunette running after him.
“Weasley,  Granger, what a pleasure.” Draco smirked.
“What do you think you’re doing with our friend!” Weasley looked nearly as red as his hair.
“You’re ‘friend’ is sleeping, could you keep it down?”
“Who do you think you are?” Ron said but his voice was lower.
“I am someone comforting someone who has no friends left.”
“We’re his friends!” Hermione squeeked sadly.
“Oh yeah? If you’re his friends, how come you didn’t notice he’s depressed? Can you tell me that?”
“He’s sad! Not depressed! And anyway, what do you know about depression? Perfect, happy Malfoy!” Ron hissed.
“Because i have been depressed! Constante drinking, blocking everybody out, never happy… I’ve been through all of it!”
“Ron, he’s right!” Hermione’s eyes glistened with tears.”Harry is depressed and we didn’t even notice! We just thought we should leave him be to get the pain out of his system.”
“That pain will never leave.” Draco hissed.
Harry burried his head deeper into Draco’s chest in his sleep.
“Oh Ron! We’re horrible friends! Horrible friends!”
The ginger boy didn’t know what to say, he just patted his girlfriends arm.
“I hope you’re happy” Draco spat. “He’s gone mad, he’s always tired, he has nightmares of you dying every night and you do NOTHING!” He shouted this last word, Harry shot up and banged his head on Draco’s chin, the boy was shaking with rage now, angry tears threatening to spill down his soft white cheeks.
“Ow, sorry.” Harry mumbled, rubbing his head. He looked up and saw his friends standing over them, Ron red with shame and anger, while silent tears ran down Hermione’s face. “Oh. Hi guys.” He said avoiding eye contact with them. “Um,what’s up?”
“Oh Harry! We’re so sorry! We didn’t notice. We’re terrible friends! We’ll be  here for you from now on. We-”
“Hermione! What are you talking about?”
“You’re…Depression.”
Harry turned to look at a sheepish Draco.
“I’m sorry, i didn’t mean to tell. They just made me so mad!”
Harry glared at the boy, then looked back at his friends. He opened his mouth then closed it and got up.
“Do you know what? I can’t deal with this right now.”
Draco, Ron and Hermione all watched Harry leave in shock.
“See what you’ve done?” Draco spat.
He got up and walked after Harry.
“What have we done?” Hermione whispered as she and Ron followed the blond.

Draco found Harry in the pub, sitting in his usual spot, a large glass of alcohol in his hands. He wasn’t drinking it, just staring into the yellowish liquid. He sat down opposite the boy and Ron and Hermione came over and hovered by the table, not saying anthing.
“You shouldn’t be drinking this.” said Draco softly.
“Why? Because it makes the pain bearable, because it makes me forget, even if it is just for and hour or two?”
“Because it’s bad for you, Harry.” said Hermione, a little desperatly.
“Because it makes everything ten time worse when i wears off.” Draco continued.
He prised Harry’s fingers off the glass and waved a waiter over. A young man came and took the glass. Draco got up and pulled Harry up with him and disapparated to Harry’s house in Godrics Hollow.
“Stay here.” He said and disapparated to his own house. He grabbed a couple of potions and went back to Godrics Hollow.
“Here drink this.” He said thrusting the first poting into Harry’s hands.
“What is it?” He said examening the bottle.
“Dreamless sleep, then take this sleeping potion. You’re not getting enough sleep, it’s bad for you.”
Harry didn’t ask questions, he just did as Draco had ordered him to do; he was exhausted anyway.
As soon as he drunk the seconde bottle, he collapsed.
“Right, i forgot how stong that potion was.” Draco mumbled. He lifted Harry into his arms and took him upsatirs. Harry’s head lolled on Draco’s shoulder, his mouth slightly open.
The blond layed Harry down on his bed and after five minutes of hesitating, took the boys clothes off. He pulled the duvet up to the sleeping boys chin and sat on the chair next to the bed he had transfigured from a lamp.
